Animal Chiropractic at County Chiropractic Centre
Animal chiropractic is a form of care that can help with specific injuries and conditions, enhance performance, and be used as a preventative care option to help keep your animal moving and feeling its best. As a VCLC certified animal chiropractor, Dr. Jess will assess your animal on the first visit and create a tailored care plan that best suits the needs of your animal. Owners will also be educated on key exercises to perform between care to help ensure your animal responds its best at each visit.
Animal chiropractic is primarily a hands-on discipline that involves the use of spinal and joint manipulation therapy. Spinal manipulation is commonly known as an “adjustment”, which involves a quick, but gentle and controlled, thrust into the area of the spine that is restricted, or not moving within the full range of motion. The intention with an adjustment is to restore normal biomechanics to the restricted area. Thus, improving range of motion to the affected area, reduce pain and discomfort, and help relieve muscle tension.
A Non-Invasive and Drug-Free Form of Care
Animal chiropractic is a safe and effective form of animal healthcare for musculoskeletal conditions: the spine, nerve dysfunction, intervertebral disc dysfunction, and muscle and ligaments. In addition, animal chiropractic goes beyond the spine, and is very effective at treating extremities, such as hips, stifles (knees), shoulders, elbows, paws, and jaws.
